MIPS - Multi-directional Impact Protection System. It is a system that separates the helmet from the inner lining with a special additional layer placed on elastic hooks. This system reduces the forces that act on the rider's brain during a fall. The purpose of the MIPS system is to protect not only against vertical but also oblique impacts. According to the manufacturer's information, within a few milliseconds of impact, the MIPS coating moves a few millimeters.
